The focus of this module is the operation of the Snap-on SOLUS Scanner and its features. The SOLUS Scanner with color graphing capabilities is the next generation in the family of Snap-on scanners. Its operation is much the same as the MT series of scanners, but with more advanced features and technology and simplified software bundling that is more comprehensive. Just as with the other Snap-on Scanner training modules, this module uses a "simulated scanner" to walk students through the navigation of the tool's many menus and functions. Students will use the simulated scanner to perform operations such as component functional tests, recording and playing back a movie, and retrieving codes and live data. Sections on using and getting the most out of the scanner's graphing capability are included. The course includes Progress Checks and a Module Test, and tutor assistance is available.
