Circuits and Meters Module 1

$99.00

After completing this on-line course the Technician will be able to perform diagnostic tests on basic electrical circuits using a digital volt ohmmeter. The student will be able to relate the principals and properties of  Voltage, Current, Resistance and their relationships. Students are introduced to Digital Volt-Ohm Meters (DVOM), their setup, usage and procedures for making measurements and converting the readings. Concludes with experiments applying meter knowledge to the testing of circuits.

Circuits and Meters Module 2

$99.00

After completing this on-line course the Technician will be able to perform diagnostic tests on basic electrical circuits using a digital volt ohmmeter and will be able to make relational calculations using Ohm's Law. The student will also be able to relate the theories of power and magnetism. Circuits & Meters Module II continues DVOM testing with various circuits, then continues study of general electrical rules which govern electrical variable interaction. An introduction to Ohm's Law follows with its use in calculating unknown values of electrical properties. This leads to sections on Power and Magnetism and how both are used and apply to automotive applications.

Circuits and Meters Module 3

$99.00

After completing this on-line course the Technician will be able to perform diagnostic tests on Series, Parallel and Series-Parallel electrical circuits using a digital volt ohmmeter. In addition the student will be able to perform electrical tests on circuit components that include fuses, relays, solenoids, fixed and variable resistors, capacitors, etc.

Advanced Electronics I

$99.00

After completing this on-line course the Technician will be able to perform diagnostic tests on advanced electrical circuits and components using a digital volt ohmmeter. Advanced Electronics Module I details the application and operation of automotive semi-conductors. This module covers standard diodes, zeners diodes, LEDs, various types of transistors, and circuitry where semiconductors are used as rectifiers, regulators, indicators, and control devices. Numerous experiments assist in understanding these important devices.

Advanced Electronics 2

$99.00

After completing this on-line course the Technician will be able to perform diagnostic tests on basic basic automotive computer systems using a digital volt ohmmeter. Advanced Electronics Module II concentrates on understanding modern automotive computer systems, their memories and communication methods, specifically Class II data. Covers many analog and digital input sensor devices, Switched and Pulse Width Modulated controls for system actuators. Performance testing for all inputs and outputs, automotive wiring and proper wire/connector repair.

Battery, Starting, Charging w/3750

$99.00

After completing this on-line course the Technician will be able to perform diagnostic tests on automotive batteries, charging systems and starting circuits using a digital volt ohmmeter and special system testers. Batteries, Starting & Charging (using the Snap-on® 3750 tester) covers construction, operation, diagnosis and testing of starters, generator (alternator) systems, and conventional, maintenance-free, and deep-cycle batteries. Also including use of diagnostic testers to perform a variety of battery, charging system, and parasitic tests for excessive or insufficient current load. Voltage drop tests are included to assist technicians using a DVOM to diagnose faulty electrical systems.

Battery, Starting, Charging w/MicroVAT

$99.00

After completing this on-line course the Technician will be able to perform diagnostic tests on automotive batteries, charging systems and starting circuits using a digital volt ohmmeter and special system testers. Batteries, Starting & Charging (using the Snap-on® MicroVAT™ tester) covers construction, operation, diagnosis and testing of starters, generator (alternator) systems, and conventional, maintenance-free, and deep-cycle batteries. Also including use of diagnostic testers to perform a variety of battery, charging system, and parasitic tests for excessive or insufficient current load. Voltage drop tests are included to assist technicians using a DVOM to diagnose faulty electrical systems.

MT2500 Scanner

$99.00

After completing this on-line course the Technician will be able to access vehicle onboard computers and perform diagnostic tests on vehicle circuits using a Snap-on® MTG2500 Color Graphing Scanner™ and MT2500 Heritage Scanner™ Modules focus on their operation and features. The MTG2500 Color Graphing Scanner is the next generation in the family of Snap-on 2500 series scanners. Its operation is much the same as the MT2500 Heritage, with the added option of permitting the user to select and graph live data parameters on the display. Just as with the MT2500 Training Module, this module uses a "simulated scanner" to walk students through the navigation of the tool's many menus and functions. Students will use the simulated scanner to perform operations such as component functional tests, recording and playing back a movie, and retrieving codes and live data. Sections on using and getting the most out of the scanner's color graphing capability are included. The course includes Progress Checks and a Module Test, and tutor assistance is available.
